Wild Garlic, gooseberries ...and me
Denis Cotter’s newest book, wild garlic, gooseberries … and me, informs and questions our relationship with the land and the vegetables we eat. We go on a personal journey with Denis as he shares his passion for the local ingredients he works with and the people and environment that produce them.
The book is divided into four themed chapters: ‘It’s a Green Thing’, ‘Wild Pickings’, ‘A Passionate Pursuit’ and ‘Growing in the Dark’. Each includes information and anecdotes about the vegetables and fruits featured, as well as many delicious recipes: from the simple and innovative to more intricate dishes from Cafe Paradiso menus.
Photographer Cristian Barnett provides stunning images of the South Cork landscape, the produce and the finished recipes.
